MFA Thesis (Advised by Natasha Chandani)
The Hangul & Latin multilingual typeface 'Up In The Air' explores how markings can evoke my cultural background and serve as a means of communication through typography. Inspired by the Korean game Gonggi, it narrates my childhood in Korea through letters connected by randomly generated markings.

Visual Identity
F&B Hospitality (Restaurants & Bar)
Howoo, Dubuhaus, and Musaek are three distinct dining concepts under Urimat Hospitality, spanning an entire city block in Midtown Manhattan. While each offers its own culinary identity, they were conceived as part of a unified brand ecosystem rooted in modern Korean cuisine and culture. The visual identity establishes a cohesive design system through shared logo development, design language, and brand applications while allowing each concept to express its own distinct character. Extending across symbols, environmental graphics, digital platforms, social media, and customer touchpoints, the project explores how a unified brand system can create a memorable destination while elevating Korean hospitality.
